Why it's so Difficult to Beat Addiction

We all have the potential to be addicted to something.
Beating Alcoholism, Drugs Addiction, Internet, Pornography, Gambling, and
Spending Disorders is difficult because it is human nature to
move away from pain and move toward pleasure. People who are
suffering from their addictions are people who are in emotional and often
emotional pain. At first, the addiction gives the addict a diversion, relief and
escape from a bad situation and uncomfortable feelings. After a while, this
relief moves into a negative day to day existence. Every step of this process
is full of danger and destruction for the addict and for those around
him/her.
